Website Making

Written By: Zachary Kai » Published: | Updated:

The internet gave us the gift of self-publishing. So why do many creatives rent space on platforms they don't control? Your work deserves a permanent home!

I make static HTML websites: fast, secure, and low-maintenance. No headaches, subscriptions, or complexity. Just a beautiful site that's yours.

Why Static HTML?

Static sites are just files, like documents! There's nothing to hack or break. They load instantly, last forever, and cost almost nothing to publish.

I taught myself to code because everyone deserves a space on the web. I've made my sites (this one, zacharykai.net, roadlessread.com) and love the indie web. Your work shouldn't be held hostage. Nor should breaking free be hard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I Update It Myself?

Yes! If you're comfortable with (or want to learn) you can update your site. The files are yours! If you'd rather not, I offer small updates for a modest fee, or we can discuss a simple ongoing arrangement.

What About A Blog?

For simple blogging, I can build a basic blog or help you set up a complementary platform that links to your main site. Complex blogging is better served by dedicated tools.

What About Selling Things?

I recommend places like Gumroad or Ko-Fi. Your site can link to these. Building a full shop would be a different (much larger) project.
