Editing
I offer editing for fiction and non-fiction, bringing careful attention, respect, enthusiasm, and eight years of experience.
Types
- Fiction: Developmental editing for narrative, characters, and pacing. Line editing for style. Copy editing for grammar and consistency.
- Non-Fiction: Structural editing for clarity and organization. Line editing for readability and tone. Copy editing for accuracy and style.
- Manuscript Assessment: Comprehensive and detailed feedback on strengths, improvements, and suggestions for your next draft.
- Proofreading: Final review for typos, formatting issues, and minor errors before publication or submission.

Every project begins with you and what'll serve you best. I provide:

- Recorded changes and comments explaining suggestions
- Respect for your voice while strengthening clarity and impact
Pricing
Rates vary by project type and length:
- Developmental/Structural Editing: $0.02 per word
- Line Editing: $0.015 per word
- Copy Editing: $0.01 per word
- Proofreading: $0.008 per word
- Manuscript Assessment: $200-400 depending on length

Workshops
I create engaging sessions blending practical instruction with creative exploration for art/community/homeschool/writing groups, libraries, and schools. And, perhaps, you? Every workshop I run is:
- Adaptable to: age groups, experience levels
- Built around active participation with adaptive and fun exercises
I have a warm, generous, and enthusiastic presence. I'm fluent in English and intermediate in Spanish.
Types
- Drawing For Fun: Accessible collaborative prompts, games, and excersises for enjoyement and expression, regardless of skill level.
- Creative Writing: Targeted writing prompts to spark imagination, exploring narrative, character, and dialogue. Writing as nourishment.
- Worldbuilding: Developing fictional settings through guided exercises, exploring techniques for creating believable worlds, avoiding common worldbuilding pitfalls.
- Zine-Making: Learning multiple zine formats and binding techinques, creating a complete mini-zine during the workshop, resources for continuing their zine practice

My rates are $75 USD an hour. I also offer sliding scale.
