HTML Day: Online

Published: | Updated:

HTML Day is an annual celebration of getting together and writing HTML, created by Elliott Cost and Laurel Schwulst. Starting in 2025, I organize an online event for the occasion.

Note: RSVPs are closed. Thanks to everyone who attended! For those reading this afterwards, don't fret! Depending on how it goes, I might host more 'write HTML in company' events in future. I'll see!

Past Sessions

HTML Day: 2025

Write HTML in company! On the internet! In honor of HTML Day, I ran two one-hour events online, on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
  • #1: Oceania Time — 6-7pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)
  • #2: European Time — 6-7pm CET (Central European Time)

In North America? Join the second session! Equivalents: 9-10am PT (Pacific Time), 11am-12pm CT (Central Time), and 12-1pm ET (Eastern Time.)

Each will last an hour. We'll have ten minutes for introductions, forty minutes for writing HTML, and ten minutes for discussing what we've made!

I'll ask everyone to stay muted (videos welcome, but not required) and use the chat to greet each other and share what you've been working on!

Some experience with HTML is required and a place to write it. No pressure to publish what you make, but I'd love to see it! And you're welcome to write CSS.

It'll be hosted via Google Meet. To RSVP, use the form below, or email me! I'll send you the link twenty-four hours beforehand, and again an hour out.
